TREE LIMB AND BRUSH PICKUP
This resolution sets forth the policy for the pick-up and disposal of tree limb and brush trimmings generated by the residents of the Town of Bunker Hill, Indiana.
WHEREAS for the beauty, safety and cleanliness of private property within the corporate limits of the Town of Bunker Hill, Indiana, it may be necessary to trim and/or remove tree branches, brush and shrubbery; and
WHEREAS residents may find it difficult, if not impossible, to personally dispose of these trimmings; and
WHEREAS the Town Council agrees that it would be beneficial for all residents of Bunker Hill to receive tree limb and brush pickup services from the town, according to certain following conditions.
BE IT THEREFORE RESOLVED that tree and brush trimmings that are generated by the individual resident as a result of their own work on the trees and brush located on their own premises within the corporate limits of Bunker Hill, Indiana, shall be picked-up for disposal by the town workers on the first and third Fridays of each month. Pick-up time may begin as early as 8:00 A.M., and only for tree branches and brush that are placed along the street.
BE IT THEREFORE ALSO RESOLVED that residents who contract to have their trees and/or brush cut or trimmed by an individual, a company or a professional tree trimming and removal service, shall also have all of the trimmings removed and disposed of by the contracted party. The pickup and removal of these trimmings shall not be the responsibility of the Town of Bunker Hill.
