§ 30.01   ELECTION DISTRICTS.

(A)   District or Ward #1.   District #1 shall be enclosed by the following boundary lines:

Beginning at Pipe Creek and the Northern most point of the East boundary line for the Town of Bunker Hill, extending southward along the town's East boundary line to State Road 218, then westward on State Road 218 to the center of the South end of John Street; north on John Street to the center of the intersection of John Street and Vine Street; west on Vine Street to the intersection of Vine Street and Railroad Street; south on Railroad Street to the intersection of Railroad Street and the center of Market Street; west on Market Street to the center of the intersection of Market Street and South Elm Street, north on Elm Street to the center of the intersection of North Elm Street and Walnut Street; east on Walnut Street to the center of the intersection of Walnut Street and North Main Street; north on North Main Street to the center of the intersection of North Main Street and Third Street; east on Third Street to the Norfolk & Western Railroad tracks; north along the railroad tracks to the town's boundary line along Pipe Creek; and east along the Northern boundary line of the Town of Bunker Hill to the Northern most point of the town's East boundary line.

(B)   District or Ward #2.   District #2 shall be enclosed by the following boundary lines:

Beginning at the center of the intersection of Vine Street and John Street; south on John Street to the intersection of John Street and State Road 218 (which is East Washington Street); west on Washington Street to the intersection of Washington Street and Railroad Street; south on Railroad Street to the intersection of Railroad Street and Garfield Street, west on Garfield Street to the intersection of Garfield Street and South Elm Street, south on South Elm Street to the Southern most boundary line of the Town of Bunker Hill; west along the town's Southern boundary line to the Western most boundary line of the Town of Bunker Hill; north along the Town's West boundary line to the center of McKinley Street; east on McKinley Street to the center of the intersection of McKinley Street and Center Street; north on Center Street to the center of the intersection of Center Street and Washington Street; west on Washington Street to the center of the intersection of Washington Street and South Elm Street; north on South Elm Street to the center of the intersection of South Elm Street and Market Street; east on Market Street to Railroad Street; north on Railroad Street to the center of Vine Street; east on Vine Street to the center of the intersection of Vine Street and John Street.

(C)   District or Ward #3.   District #3 shall be enclosed by the following boundary lines:

Beginning at the center of the intersection of Broadway and Elm Street; south on Elm Street to the center of the intersection of South Elm Street and Washington Street; east on Washington Street to the center of the intersection of Washington Street and Center Street; south on Center Street to the center of the intersection of Center Street and McKinley Street; west on McKinley Street to the Western most boundary line of the Town of Bunker Hill; north along the town's West boundary line to the center of Broadway; east on Broadway to the center of the intersection of Broadway and Elm Street.

(D)   District or Ward #4.   District #4 shall be enclosed by the following boundary lines:

Beginning at the Northern most end of the West boundary line of the Town of Bunker Hill; eastward along the town's North boundary line to the Norfolk & Western Railroad track; south along the railroad track to the center of Third Street; west on Third Street to the center of the intersection of Third Street and North Main Street; south on North Main Street to the center of the intersection of North Main Street and Walnut Street; west on Walnut Street to the center of the intersection of Walnut Street and North Elm Street; south on North Elm Street to the center of the intersection of Elm Street and Broadway; west on Broadway to the West boundary line of the Town of Bunker Hill; north along the town's West boundary line to the Northern most end of this boundary line.

§ 30.02   COMPOSITION.

(A)   The town's legislative body shall consist of five town officers elected by the voters of the town. These officers shall be the five Town Council members.

(B)   There shall be one Council member elected from each election district, and one Council member elected at-large.

(C)   All five of the Town Council members shall be elected by the voters of the entire town.

§ 30.03   TERM OF OFFICE; VACANCY.

(A)   The term of office for a Town Council member shall be four years.

(B)   The current term of office for Council members residing in District #1 and District #4 shall expire December 31, 1994. During the 1994 general election in November, town officers from District #1 and District #4 shall be elected to serve on the Town Council from January 1, 1995 through December 31, 1998.

(C)   The current term of office for Council members residing in District #2 and District #3 shall expire December 31, 1995. During the 1995 general election in November, town officers from District #2 and District #3 shall be elected to serve on the Town Council from January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1999.

(D)   During the 1995 general election in November, one town officer shall be elected at large to serve on the Town Council from January 1, 1996 through December 31, 1999.

(E)   Should a seat on the Town Council become vacated before the term of office expires, the office shall be filled, for the remainder of the term, in accordance with I.C. 3-13-9-4.

(F)   This chapter shall not unseat any Town Council member before the expiration of his and/or her term of office.

§ 33.01   TOWN COURT CREATED.

There is hereby created a Town Court under the provisions of I.C. 18-1-14-2 et seq. and all laws applicable thereto and as hereinafter supplemented or amended.

34.01       Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund

 

§ 34.01   CUMULATIVE CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT FUND.

There is hereby created and established a Cumulative Capital Improvement Fund for the purposes as set forth in and subject to the provisions and restrictions of I.C. 36-9-16-1 et seq.
